Global Launch Criteria for Mentee in Pilot Programs

  • Values 1 – 4 of Global Launch Vision Statement
    • Character
      We desire to work with Young Leaders who are striving to demonstrate a passion for God, a commitment to other young people, are maturing personally, practice Biblical stewardship, maintain healthy family relationships, lead like Jesus, are passionate and sensitive about evangelism, are aware of the world and can identify trends in today’s generation, are committed to the local church and have a Kingdom mentality all as stated in YFC’s Profile of a YFC Young Leader.
    • Perpetual Empowerment of Young Leaders
      We are committed to the perpetual empowerment of young people through resourcing, training, mentoring and supporting Young Leaders in YFC to implement innovative evangelistic strategies and to recruit, equip and empower other young people to accomplish their vision and calling.
    • Evangelism
      All supported initiatives and strategies will be specifically focused on achieving YFC’s vision of seeing that every young person in every people group in every nation has the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become part of the local church.
    • Sustainability
      We value initiatives that will be sustainable and will contribute to the ongoing strategy and overall health and growth of the national program.
  • Area Director-approved National Director, and Young Leader selected by the National Director, age 20 – 30 from one nation, each with their own vision and associated idea/project, each to have their own mentor.
  • National Director and Young Leader willing to go through up to a 12 month process of being mentored/coached in accomplishing their dream and associated project, then in turn being trained to mentor others
  • Ready internet access and capacity to utilize communications such as Skype
  • Has God-given vision and associated idea/project, proactively presented to National Director and Area Director
  • Competent in written and spoken English
  • Young Leader to have completed established YFC Young Leader process
  • National Director and Young Leader plan on attending YFC’s General Assembly 2011 which will be held in Denver, Colorado, September 2011
